Q. How often do I need to change my filter?
A. Filters should be checked every thirty days. Hold the filter up to the light and compare it to a new filter. Some new thermostats include a feature reminding you to change the filter.
Q. Do I need to check my filter in the summer?
A. Yes, if you have air conditioning the same furnace filter is used as in the winter.
Q. Can I control my furnace and A/C when I am not at home?
A. Yes, some new thermostats can be made wi-fi ready giving you complete control when you are away.
Q. Do I need a carbon monoxide detector?
A. Yes, even if you have a newer furnace vents can become blocked and dangerous conditions can exist. Many detectors though can only detect higher readings of CO, you may be getting low measurements of CO that can be hazardous and make you sick & not know it. Q. Should I need to add freon to my air conditioner?
A. No, usually not. Air conditioning systems are sealed and should not require extra freon unless their is a leak.
